Powering the next phase of EV scale: ANC announces EV charging offer with bp pulse
18 May 2026
At ANC, scaling an electric fleet isn’t just about deploying vehicles, it’s about continuously evolving the infrastructure that underpins them.
Over several years, we’ve deliberately tested and deployed a diverse charging ecosystem spanning depot charging, home charging, and public access networks. Each has played a critical role in enabling early adoption and scale. Each has also revealed inherent constraints, from grid limitations and landlord dependencies, through to utilisation inefficiencies and access variability.
As our fleet has grown beyond 100+ electric vehicles, so too has the need for a more flexible, resilient, and commercially viable charging model.
From April 2026 to 31 March 2027, ANC’s fleet of drivers will be eligible to access discounted EV charging across the bp pulse charging network in Australia via bp plus, bp’s integrated fuel and EV charging payment solution. Through this offer ANC’s fleet will have more flexibility for EV charging , enabling increased uptime.
What this means in practice:
Reduced reliance on depot infrastructure, with access to more than 300 EV charging bays across the bp pulse charging network in QLD, NSW, the ACT, VIC, SA, TAS and WA.
Discounted EV charging rates at bp pulse for ANC’s fleet*
Improved vehicle utilisation, supporting extended duty cycles and reducing dependency on combustion fleet backup.
Just as importantly, it simplifies the experience for our delivery professionals, providing access to high-speed charging in convenient locations across bp pulse’s network.
Why this matters?
This is more than a charging solution, it’s a pathway to commercialisation.
By aligning EV charging options with real-world fleet utilisation, we are actively reducing reliance on fixed, capital-intensive assets and accelerating the transition toward a scalable, market-driven EV ecosystem.
It also reinforces a core principle of our strategy: resilience through flexibility.
Mo Abbas, Chief Growth & Sustainability Officer, ANC:
"There aren’t any barriers that can’t be overcome through partnership and deep understanding.
Our aggregation model complements our mixed-modal charging strategy and brings simplicity and reliability to our fleet at a time of heightened operational and energy market anxiety.
This is about making EVs work - not just technically, but commercially and at scale.”
Antoine Denis, General Manager, bp pulse, Australia:
“As more fleets electrify, bp pulse is supporting them every step of the way. Our network of fast EV chargers works for real‑world fleet operations, whether customers are just starting their EV transition or scaling it across their business.”
Looking ahead
This is another step in ANC’s broader Project Spark journey, supporting our ambition to reach 30% of our total fleet to electric by 2028.
As we continue to scale, we remain focused on one objective: enabling ANC delivery professionals to access an EV ecosystem that works in the real world – for fleets, for partners, and for the customers we serve.
* Offer ends 31 March 2027. Available to Australian businesses with a valid ABN that provide delivery services to ANC. Terms & Conditions apply, for details and how to apply, contact ANC.
